The Drifter Times started as a sketch for a monthly flyer — something you could hand to a person on a street corner that would actually help them that night. A list of numbers. A few addresses. No lectures.
It became this website for a simple reason: paper flyers can't update when a shelter fills up, and they can't reach the next town over. But the mission never changed.
What we believe:
That nobody is "just" homeless — people are between addresses, between jobs, between chapters, and they deserve useful information without having to prove they deserve it. That a resource guide is only as good as its accuracy, which is why readers correct us and we listen. That this paper is free, has no paywall, sells no data, and runs no ads for payday lenders.
What we're building: a state-by-state directory of real, verified resources; practical guides written in plain language; and the Drifter Dispatch, a short weekly email for anyone who wants it.
If this paper helped you, pass it on. If we got something wrong, tell us. It belongs to its readers.
